getting down and dirty

work and water filters

overcast 15 °C

Today we started learning...which is good because I need all the knowledge I can get.
It is so fascinating to learn of the need for clean water and hygiene in the world. I wish we all knew about the incredible statistics there are related to childrens' deaths because of a lack of clean water and sanitation. Wow, we are so lucky here in the west with all that we have.
Anyway, this is a short entry. Hopefully the photos show a bit again of what we did. We were doing some practical work of sieving rocks that will be used in our biosand filter.
In the evening I went for a run. There are no pavements, so it was on the road and the roads are looonnng..... and to top it off, there are some very vicious dogs that like to chase unsuspecting long-haired runners maybe to help them run faster. I'm not sure whether I will be running past some of those yards again.
Then in the evening we went out to the Steakhouse. Plenty of southern food on offer and I enjoyed that a lot. The photo shows one of the car's number plates in the car park I saw and it made me laugh...This is a funny place.
